Hungary - Ronny Addamo

HUNGARY- HEAT 1 RESULTS AND HEAT 2 SONGS

Last Saturday night Hungary picked their first 6 qualifiers to the semi finals to be held in two weeks time. In a very long, drawn out affair, we got to these six artists

Élet- Leander Kills

Nyitva a ház- Roma Soul

Deák- spoon 21

Rain- Viki Singh

White Shadows- Dávid Henderson

Were voted through with the jury and televote scores while

Karock- Benji

Was voted through afterwards, as the highest televoted song not already in the top 5.

But that was last week. THIS WEEK we have another 10 songs to whet your musical appetite, or perhaps, to make you want to diet musically, who knows? Luckily, I will make it easier with my (not so) expert opinion!

JOCI PÁPAI- Origo

An atmospheric ethno pop number, with a mid song rap. Not my thing

ORSI SAPSZON- Hunyd Le Szemed

A little Hungarian Disney style jazz. Points for being different, again not really my thing

THE COUPLE- Vége Van

A soft melodic piece, with a nice build, but ultimately goes nowhere. Leaves me with no real emotion, not a good thing for a perspective ESC entrant

ZÄVODI + OLIVÉR BERKES- #háttérzaj

This is different. The intro had me intrigued, and it just continued on from there, very unusual. I like this a lot.

KYRA FEDOR- Got To Be A Day

The big Euroclub stomper. Big pop tune, that usually either slays, or falls very flat dependent on live vocals, I love it!

ENIKŐ MURI- Jericho

Generic pop, a la Katy Perry a few years ago, so it will probably do well. But I don’t buy it.

BENJÁMIN PÁL- Father’s Eyes

Very radio friendly pop with a nice sentiment. The type of ‘safe’ song that will make the final, but not much more

GIGI RADICS- See It Through

The traditional ESC ballad. Good voice, but will probably be lost in this company

SOULWAVE- Kalandor

More radio ready pop, this time with a bit more pace, and a slight Icelandic pop sound. Very easy to groove to, I’ll eat my arm if this doesn’t make the semi

TOTOVA- Hosszú Idők

Well… this is left of centre. A familiar melody with lots of little odd touches. I like it

There you have it. Ten more glorious songs to deliberate over. Which 6 deserve a semi placing? We’ll find out Saturday night, Europe time! Cast your top six on the facebook poll!
