TICKETING POLICY

This policy has been updated in August 2026 to make simplifications and reorder details.

  • The points year for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest is from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026 inclusive.

  • The points year for the 2028 Eurovision Song Contest is from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027 inclusive.

Only points earned for activities which end during the relevant points year will count towards the Ticket List. The Board may notify members if an activity end date needs to be altered around this time, and which points year it will fall into.

OGAE Rest of the World is not a ticketing agency. We cannot respond to requests from non-members about tickets, and we have no influence over decisions made by the broadcaster or Eurovision about ticket availability.

OUR PROCESS FOR POINTS AND TICKETS:

A.Participation in Club Activities throughout the year:

Members who participate in year-round OGAE Rest of the World Club activities earn points, with more points meaning a higher position in the points table.

All OGAE ROTW members can earn points for activities, although only Euphoria Members may apply for tickets through OGAE Rest of the World.

B. Expression of Interest (EoI) process:

OGAE International only permit an individual to apply for one ticket (package), through their primary club in any given year. Anyone who applies for tickets through another OGAE member club will not be eligible to apply for tickets through OGAE Rest of the World. Anyone with a different OGAE club as their ‘primary’ club (the club that their OGAE Cardskipper card is with) is ineligible to apply through OGAE RotW.

In September, we run an EoI process. Only current, paid Euphoria Members are eligible to submit an EoI, and should do so by the deadline provided. EoI completion could mean a better position in the Points List (see below).

C. MOLITVA MEMBERS:

Molitva members will not be moved onto the Points Lists, as per OGAE International rules.

  • You can upgrade from Molitva to Euphoria any time during the points year (1 November - 31 October) - but make sure you do this prior to 31 October should you wish to avail of the OGAE RotW Points List.

  • Note you cannot upgrade if you have another club as your primary club, in line with membership rules.

D. CLOSING THE POINTS TABLE:

Once the points year has ended, and all points have been added to the Points Table, it will close, and the Board will confirm the points tally for each member.

e. CREATING THE POINTS LIST:

Euphoria members will then be added into one of two groups in the Points List:

  • Group A - Members who submitted their Expression of Interest by the deadline, and have earned at least 30 points during the relevant points year. The order within Group A is determined based on the number of points achieved (highest first).

  • Group B - People who earned fewer than 30 points during the relevant points year, or did not express interest before the deadline, regardless of the number of points earned. The order within Group B is determined based on the number of points achieved (highest first).

F. POINTS SHARING:

Euphoria members may choose to combine their points with a small group of other Euphoria members (e.g. 2 to 4 people), which are then shared equally between the named members. The ‘new’ points tally will be used when placing you on the relevant points list.

  • This must be requested during the EoI process (by the posted deadline), notifying the names of the other Euphoria Members you will share points with.

  • Each Euphoria member must earn points individually, and must apply individually through the EoI. Make sure with your group that you all share the same information in the EoI. If all Members named do not complete the EoI by the deadline, points will not be shared.

  • The Board will average your combined points to allow you to have consecutive rankings on the ticket list.

    • E.g. if Member 1 earns 140 points, and Member 2 earns 120 points, the points will be averaged to 130 points each.

    • Should your averaged points fall below the minimum for Group A, your whole group will be moved to Group B.

  • Members cannot ‘donate’ their points to another person (points may only be shared by averaging as described above).

  • If a Member shares points, and then removes themselves later from the Ticket List, the Board will make a determination as to whether the points sharing totals remain in place.

  • If an OGAE RotW Board member wishes to share points with a non-Board member(s), the following conditions apply:

    • The non-Board member(s) must have personally earned over 150 points each in the relevant points year.

    • The final points tally for both/all members of that small group can only reach the maximum amount of points available to non-Board members. E.g. if the maximum points available to a non-Board members in the points year is 300, and the shared points total an average of 330, all members of the small group (including the Board member) will be placed on the Points List at the maximum 300 points.

This points sharing policy is an OGAE RotW process, impacting your position on our Points List / Ticket List. This does not change any of the rules related to ticket packages being for one member only, not transferable, and not mix-and-match - those rules are set by Eurovision/OGAE International.

g. THE TICKET LIST & FINAL STEPS:

Once ticket details are provide to the Board by OGAE International, the Ticket List will be created, for applicable Euphoria members only.

  • Group A points list members will be placed in order on the Ticket List first.

  • Group B points list members will be placed in order on the Ticket List following Group A members.

Should tickets be made available to OGAE Rest of the World, they will be offered to Members in the order they appear on the Ticket List, and aligned to the preferences provided in the EoI.

A Member can remove their own name from the Ticket List at any time should they choose to do so.

As always, the provision of tickets to OGAE clubs is not guaranteed. This policy is based on the expectation that the host broadcaster will continue to offer fan clubs this opportunity. Membership in the club entitles you to participate in club activities only — membership does not guarantee you a ticket.

h. POTENTIAL TICKET PACKAGES / TYPES

OGAE Rest of the World does not have control over timing of ticket sales, or the number/type of packages allocated. The timing, availability, allocation, prices, and types of packages/bundles available are all subject to change each year.

As an example, Vienna 2026 had three distinct packages available through the OGAE allocation:

  1. Package of 1 ticket for each Televised Live Show on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.

  2. Package of 1 ticket for each Jury Show on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

  3. Package of 1 ticket for each Afternoon Family Show on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.

Purchasing a ticket through the OGAE allocation was for a package/bundle of 3 shows of a specific type.

  • Only 1 package was available to each member, and tickets were non-transferable (i.e. you couldn’t mix and match, or choose different shows, or buy single show tickets through the allocation).

  • For Vienna, ‘Golden Circle’, ‘Standing’ and ‘Seated’ tickets were available, but in Basel, the allocation was standing only, and there were no other ‘options’ like Golden Circle, Premium etc.

  • Seated tickets have become much less available in recent years, so we try to priorities those with a physical/medical ailment which prevents them from standing.

  • Accessible tickets are not made available through the OGAE allocations, and members may need to apply for these personally under separate processes.

i.TICKET ALLOCATION:

Members who have not earned any points will have the lowest priority in determining preferred ticket categories. Such members will only be allocated tickets if any remain after all Group A and Group B members who have requested tickets have received allocations.

To the extent different categories of tickets (Premium, Golden Circle, etc.) are offered, members placed higher on the ticket list will have first right of refusal or selection.

In the event of a tie regarding the number of points a Member has earned, the tie will be broken as follows:

  • The start date of initial OGAE Rest of the World membership, with the longest-serving member ‘winning’. Those with gaps in membership will be ranked by the date of their most recent renewal. If th date is the same for the two members then the tie will be broken randomly pursuant to procedures determined by the Board at the time the tie needs to be broken.

Members who violate club rules or policies may be removed from the Ticket List at the Board’s discretion.

j. Policy Review:

The Ticketing Policy is set by the Board and is subject to change. While the Board intends to endeavour to inform members of material changes, advance notice is not guaranteed. Material changes will generally be posted here.

Important: The Board has absolute discretion in administering this policy. All decisions by the Board are final and binding on all parties and not subject to appeal or review in any forum.

This policy may be need to be reviewed and altered if the organisers of an upcoming contest make changes to the way tickets are distributed to the OGAE clubs, for any reason.
