As members of OGAE Rest of the World, we cast our own votes on the songs of past Eurovision Song Contests, to decide our club’s favourite song for that year.
Every month (except April, May and September - or as advised), we randomly choose a past Contest. Links to the contest/clips of the contest are provided for members to watch & vote. We use the current standard 12, 10, 8-1 point voting system (unless otherwise stated) regardless of the voting system used at the original event.
Casting your vote will earn you 5 points for each retrospective you take part in (unless otherwise stated).
We also host online “Watch Parties”, so you can watch along with others, hosted usually the third Sunday of the month. The exact date will be in the newsletter, and we have two parties to help with timezones:
Sunday - 7:00pm AEDST/AEST - Sydney Australia (AEST/AEDT)
Sunday - 3:00pm EDT/EST - New York City, (EDT/EST)
RETROSPECTIVE VOTING CLOSES AT 12:00 CET ON 26 of the month*
*Unless otherwise stated below by the month of the year.
JuLY 2025:
We dived deep into the bag of poker chips and for the month of July we will be setting our critiquing eyes and ears upon Dublin Ireland, 1981!
As is customary, we will of course hold two watch parties for the Retro, and they will be:

June 2025:
Aaaannnd… we're back! The bag of chips revealed a much more recent year for our June 2025 Eurovision Retrospective…. It's a fun one!
Unfortunately this month, due to travel and work and two locking (grrrr), we are unable to host our usual Watch Togethers for this month. We WILL return to these when we can!

We pause our retrospectives for April (due to the AGM) and May (due to the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, live from Basel), so we will return to our Retros in June!
