12 Days of the Silly Season
December brings us a new activity… a shortened version of an advent calendar, where the gift is a trivia question each day, for 12 days.
Commencing Monday December 4, for 12 days a question will be put up on this website, with an associated form for your answer. We will also post to our Social Media pages for a bit of extra fun.
Of the twelve questions, 6 are “easier”, 4 are intermediate in difficulty, and two are a bit more challenging.
The format
You will be provided a question from Day 1 to Day 12, with each Day having the corresponding number of entries.
That is, Day 1 is in reference to one song, and Day 12 is in relation to 12 songs.
Each Day will have a YouTube playlist and Question presented when clicking on the corresponding “DAY #” below.
Each Playlist will provide you the entry/ies that align to the Question being asked.
The common thread which ties the artists, songs and/or entries together is the Answer you will need to provide in the Form on the corresponding page.
For Example ONLY; If you click on “Day 5”, the playlist may have Italy 1958, Italy 1963, Italy 1975, Italy 1987 and Italy 2015. The question might be, These stand out among the 48 contests Italy performed in, because…?
The Answer - Each of these entries finished 3rd.
It could have something to do with the songwriters, personal experience, final placings, previous/future engagement in Eurovision… anything.
There are a total of 20 points available, per member, for getting all the answers correct.
Due to the right/wrong nature of this activity, Board members cannot participate.
