2022 BOARD ELECTIONS
Update - 15 September 2022:
Expressions of interest were sought from all five Board members for the position of President and Vice President. As only one person nominated for each position, no further election is required.
Luc Spencer-Gardner has been re-appointed to the role of President
Kyle Woods has been re-appointed to the role of Vice President
This now concludes the Board election process for 2022. We wish the new Board all the best in their management of OGAE Rest of the World.
The next Board election is scheduled to take place in 2024.
Voting in the OGAE Rest of the World Board election has closed, and we have a verified result!
A big thank you to the three members who nominated for the Board, and to the members who participated in the voting.
During the voting period a total of 88 vote forms were submitted, with 6 forms discarded (5 were discarded to allow a member to correct details and resubmit, and a 6th was discarded as the voter did not provide a name or membership number).
This left us with 82 valid voting forms:
13 voted for one candidate;
69 voted for two candidates;
For a total of 151 votes cast.
The 151 votes were divided as follows:
Luc Spencer-Gardner received 72 votes (elected)
Niall Drennan received 49 votes (elected)
Mike Whalley received 30 votes
Congratulations to Luc and Niall, who have both been re-elected to the Board. Thank you to Mike for nominating and sharing your ideas for the club’s future with the membership.
We will now proceed to step 2 of this process as set out under the Constitution. The election officers will contact all five Board members and seek nominations for the roles of President and Vice President. Should more than one Board member nominate for one or both positions, this will trigger a second election. This second round of voting (if required) will commence no later than Friday 16 September and close 23 September.
